I wish that Elvis impersonation gig wasn't just to humiliate myself at a hotel in Spain for swedes. However it gave me a few ideas for what I'll be doing this year.

Buster Keaton

I borrowed this huge book from the library full of images and stories.
In it is this picture of Buster filming a stunt falling from the roof off a 8(or more) story building.
This being the olden days he actually lept from the rooftop, having rigged small pieces of cloth intimately along the wall downwards to break the speed of the fall. And he actually landed through these cloths and grabbed onto the drainpipe to stop the fall.
This, Seems like crazy fun to me! There's something about surviving things and feeling strangely accepted as a living being for your struggle haha.

two times american

hitching rides from the nicest vietnam veteran to the Buss driver with no sense of direction but a golden heart, I miss them all in America.

I reaally liked being understood in americahaha. but the french!? oh shit no. great fucking bands though and great bars/pubs/clubs? whatever that was. old train-station-rebuilt-club-thing, even had rails under it! you had a fat burger and outlooking a huge golden painting spotlighted next to the rails that led on into a pitchblack place. five bands on a row every day but monday haha.
walked and shouted theatre all way across Paris until five in the morning. improvising fun things on whiskey legs with company. pff, it was nothing like almost dying in the mountain with cougars. but I've learnt to be sorta fine with that.

and here? no sun.
a doctor told me 6 out of 10 swedish are on anti depressants, two minutes later in another room another doctor leaned in and corrected with a "8 out of 10" HAHAH. and that was during the summer!
I THINK people should start realizing there's something else biting their heels.
pills won't save your soul or start fires or get your nonexistent love for a deskfuck job back that you never had. I know I know, mean right. I've been told. well it's either that or Oppie Yoopie poetry

For Patricio Betteo, one of my favourite artists. we're merging for a team attack very soon. oho!

recently I've been working in my sleep, my head is completely clear and nearly fully aware, and I'm recording movies from a rowboat with two hobos just outside New York. worried I'll loose the machinery in the boat if it flips, still I compose very exiting work, which I'm able to look at with precise detail. it's great! but I wake up EXHAUSTED haha.

some art, I have to represent myself now that I'm looking for work.
also someone told me I should post my paintings and sculptures aswell. the only thing I ever really showed was these sorts of things, but I do alot of different work! which is probably the reason for any and all unexplained holdups in updates. so hey! exciting right!

Ryan had a projector that made everything look like it was from doctor caligaris cabinette, blown up on his wall and able to produce the image up to 30 feet wide I was told!
I met him on the subway coming from Seattle and landing in New York at four in the morning, he had a big plate of brownies and sandwiches and a projector... and then we had so much more!

also I am officially back.
I miss the good folk I met!
Igo, Shane, Faz, Zac, Ryan and many a more!(these boys mentioned because they got me a roof over my head, stranger or not. very pleasant people and complete sweethearts the lot of em!).
to everyone who wanted to work with me, I am completely up for the mentioned projects. come on over the ocean or help me pay my ticket over to you again haha!

I also miss being a european with my currency value in america :(
I'm even re-counting everything in dollars here.
with this trip my mind finally vented and I felt the air around me even had changed when I got back, to how it should've always been! and how I've missed it for such a long time. it also made me realize how small of a place I'm living in. small steps and big words, lame fucking mentality, can't do anything without it becoming something.
I mean in NY you'd have a gang of russians playing accordeon and "I'll shoot the moon" in the middle of a street at night, and you were the only listener. here the mentality is just so forced and unnatural for me. the wind is nice here, but fucking christ even it holds the bike back and you get tired of trying to force yourself around the city with it.

I went swimming with a few folks way out into the mojave desert, a secret river of sorts. with a midnight bicycle rider/television producer & a sculptor from mcfarlane toys and his wife. hurp!

so I hit Seattle on tuesday this week. unlike with the guy in NY my housing in LA & Seattle has worked out awesomely from the getgo!
got lost on a mountain for six hours at night in California, I wish there were pictures from it. aswell as of the dirt, dust and water grime covered rockabilly stumbling swede. I managed to hitch several rides with proper cool people in california aswell (while retaining the previously mentioned nasty gettup hoh!).
and my continuos social tango with fun people swooped onwards without a miss. though travel loopyness and my-god-i-survived-the-mountain hoohaw made me abit shambling at times, and/or also speed up the meat in my mouth. urhmaha!

NY was incredible. I was staying in the middle of harlem for most of my time. then with two french guys, two cats and a very nice girl in brooklyn. found a secret junkyard garden, climbed buildings down on broadway/chinatown, hung out with all sorts of nice folk, did martial arts on that rooftop during a thunderstorm at night,
and so much more! spent the last night drinking on a rooftop with an irish boxer who had been stabbed in the neck and was convinced I was gay, I played along haha.
we could see the buildings of times square from where we were sitting. and all the way down 8th ave.
good way to end the NY trip.
and now I'm in CA, heading out in a few. the flight over here was wonderful. the landscape changes every 15 minutes beneath you. hell just check the image haha.

Twice the balls

so my father is doing the dishes after dinner, and he whips up two chocolate balls and goes:
"oh shit! the last two balls! lets eat em before the others notice anything. hurry!"
I hide behind the door with mine and he stands look out on the corner while eating his chocolate ball. like two kids. and my sister comes walking in and we both realize what we're doing. so while being confused about wether we should hide the balls or be honest she says "you boys actin strange".

Nosferatu and tit? not sure it warrants a new post. but I didn't get to show any of the work I've been doing before I got sick and gone.

smelly box baby

came to think of this strange memory I had about my old neighbors family.
they had this little baby who was saving old milk and cereal in a smelly wooden box. that shit was disturbing. because I had noticed the smell every now and then. strangest vile smell ever. and he was hiding the box. and then one day the little bebbe took out his wooden box and scooped him some cereal with his hand, and asked if I wanted some. fucking GROSS!

EDIT/ADDED:
also, I've been working like mad these last few days. tried finishing up an entry for an anthology. a fully painted comic. but I didn't manage to finish, instead I conjured up three different concepts that really needed more air blown into 'em.
aswell as many other things I'm running and jumping between, but clearly not telling, hah.
so yes! I haven't just been sitting around thinking about that smelly-box-cereal-babay.

Downhill Kinda guy

he was born in a really steep hill. and at the bottom of the hill was five guys having a knife fight with a bear. and as he rolled down he rolled into the belly of the gutted bear. who raised him as his own. and since then he's been reinacting different dramatic situations while running downhill. downhill hunting, downhill poetry slams with his friends, downhill tea-party/wedding/brawl/sex/etc.
sometimes he'll fly down there with his band "the downhill orchestra". and they'll play, and somebody breaks his neck and then they do it again next tuesday.
